Arkansas Federal Credit Union Announces 2024 Scholarship Recipient

6/12/2024

Arkansas Federal Credit Union is proud to announce Hannah Rudnick of Alexander is the recipient of the 2024 Arkansas Federal Credit Union Scholarship. Since 2003, Arkansas Federal has awarded a $5,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who is a member or child of a member and is bound for college or trade school.

A recent graduate of Bryant High School, Ms. Rudnick will attend the University of Central Arkansas to pursue a degree in Journalism. This year, Arkansas Federal received more than 140 scholarship applications. Recipients must use the scholarship funds at a two- or four-year accredited institution or trade school recognized by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education.

“This year provided another large field of impressive applicants that exemplify leadership, community involvement, and scholastic achievement,” said Amber Reilly, vice president of Collections and scholarship review committee member. “Hannah’s ability to manage her scholastic achievements, leadership roles, and work impressed the committee. But what made her stand apart from all the other applicants was utilizing her personal experiences with hearing loss to educate and bring awareness through her community service initiative, Represent Able in Disable. Allowing Hannah to further expand her education in Journalism and utilize her platform to help educate others aligns with our mission to make a difference in the lives of the members, employees, and communities we serve.”

Ms. Rudnick will receive a check for $5,000 to the University of Central Arkansas in August to apply to her course of study. Congratulations on a job well done!
